Sterling turns silver
What were you doing in 1982? That question was posed by our founder Rod Schneidmiller as Sterling International, makers of RESCUE!® products, marked our 25th anniversary in June 2007.
Back in 1982, Olivia Newton-John's "Physical" was the number one song. TIME Magazine's "Man of the Year" was a computer. The movie "ET: the Extra-Terrestrial" was released. And a young Rod Schneidmiller was mixing dried materials in the garage of a tiny house in Millwood, Washington. He was trying to come up with a fly attractant based on an idea he had for a consumer pest control device. With his reusable trap for flies, our company was born.
On June 21, 2007 -- the first official day of summer -- we celebrated Sterling's growth and continued success. Employees, family members, vendors, friends and other honored guests gathered in beautiful Mirabeau Meadows Park in Spokane Valley, Washington.
